Abstract

|
Medical imaging technology has developed rapidly due to the development of digital technology such as computers. Imaging technology already proved its vast possibility by the realization of lesion search using 3-dimensional modeling and digital image processing of raw image data, and it is believed that its application will be more diverse. In this paper, we describe one of such applications, the medical robots utilizing imaging technology. Medical robots has been developed since 1980s, and nowadays its usage is being combined with computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging. Even it may be used for eye surgery in nano scale using highly magnified real-time images.
